GYFA is a young organization and is constantly looking to improve. It may take time to work through what works and what doesn't. The main goal is to stay patient, not to be afraid of change, and lastly, if you have suggestions on how something could be ran better, please get involved. We offer football for ages K-6th grade in Granbury, TX. Divisions are 5U, 6U, 7U, 8U, 9U, 10U/11U Combined, 12U/6th Grade.
Yes. As of Fall 2024, Flag football is offered for 5U & 6U. Tackle football is offered for 7U - 12U.
While the exact start and end dates vary from year to year, the first practice usually begins the first week of August. The first game of the season is early September after labor day with the Super Bowl taking place mid-November before Thanksgiving. There are other important dates such as, player evaluations, weigh-ins, and pre-season camp that will be announced after registrations close.

Yes, as of 2024 all players will be offered most of the equipment needed to play. This may include, helmets, shoulder pads, girdles, and jerseys. Will not provide cleats, practice gear, mouth guards, etc.
Per 2024 Bylaws, head coaches will be selected in a voting process held at the end of the Coaches Clinics. Every coach within their individual divisions will vote on their peers to determine who will head coach the 2024 Fall Season teams.
Per 2024 Bylaws, all coaching applicants will be put through a background check and must attend the annual Coach's Clinic (which also serves as the selection process for Head Coaches).
